How we help florists

Client No21 Flowers - Aberystwyth, Wales

How we helped

We were delighted to work with No21 Flowers in Wales, a florist with a contemporary aesthetic look and feel about them. We sought to create the perfect website theme to capture their unique style. Along with the online shop, Alex at No21 worked alongside us on every page and this allowed us to really define the style and content he wanted.

Along with a host of features, we created spotlight products on the homepage, touch-and-swipe gallery sideshows for tablets and phones, Facebook feed integration on the home page and many more. Within two weeks of development, the website was ready to go live and the team here and the shops staff were delighted with the result. Thanks Alex!

An intuitive, immersive website with a full website editor for the florists staff so they can update any part of the website at any time with ease.

"When we discovered Florist Touch, we knew this was something special. After a brief phone call with Tom, we had a quick demo to play with and found the software flexible for us.

They were very communicative throughout the process of the website and we're excited to have the website launch in time for Mothers day, perfect! :)

Client Bay Tree Florist - Cowes, Isle of Wight

How we helped

It was good to closely work with Leanne again at Bay Tree Florist. We initially created her website last year in 2012 but owing to the increasing use of mobile devices, we wanted to bring her site up to date to give her customers a pleasant, and easy experience. Before the project began, we had a meeting to discuss growing her business online and what direction she wanted to take.

A priority was mobile and tablet support since around 40% of all visitors to her site were using specifically iPads or iPhones. Since she has a number of different pages on her website, we opted for a grid-based navigation instead of anything more complex to keep the site easy to use. Of course, many other websites use a touch menu-link to show more buttons but taking this approach would have forced her customers to jump over more hoops than is necessary.

We took her strong, deep purple colour theme of the exterior of her shop and used that as the background for the site. The particular shade of purple she used was very fortunate because photos then stand out much better because of the contrast difference. At this point we begun the mock-ups and sent them back and forth via e-mail to her for approval. After each page was approved, we then developed the site. One of the great new features we implemented, and tailored, to her website was a gallery which allows all images to be shown correctly - whether viewing on a tablet, desktop/laptop or smart phone. On a phone, all images are shown vertically in one column, and on a tablet, there are two columns.

Finishing off, we provided branding for her Facebook page and a photography service for the shop’s interior and exterior.

"We're so pleased with our website, and the software is so easy to use. We now have regular online orders.

Client Bembridge Flower Shop - Bembridge, Isle of Wight

How we helped

It's been great working with Christine - owner of Bembridge Flower Shop, she wanted a unique style to reflect her shop interior and exterior vinyl sign. Having gone through a couple design revisions we set on perfecting the homepage and designing a layout with mobile and tablet devices in mind. Due to her chosen style, it was just a coincidence that we were able to really push CSS3 ~ a type of method of creating a website that means it's incredibly quick to load.

Having finished designing all of the pages and working with the customer to perfect it as she wanted it, we then went onto the development stage. Within 3 weeks the website was complete and we submitted the website to Google so people can find the website easily. We finished it off with mobile support on the homepage so people on their smart phones can quickly and easily read about her shop and be a tap away from calling.

"Florist Touch were recommended to me by one of my customers and I certainly wasn't disappointed. They provided a fast, efficient and knowledgeable service and was a pleasure to work with.

Client Flower Garden - Newport, Isle of Wight

How we helped

We were initially contacted by Jayne, the owner of Flower Garden, when she found us through the Chamber of Commerce business network. She had an existing website but it was a bit dated and was after both a refresh and an online shop to appeal to her many existing customers.

We took her ideas down on paper and came back with a web design to show how it would look and function. Since she has many different types of flowers, she wanted the ability to update the website in her own time and so we developed a bespoke website where she can add products and remove them. In the process, we also produced a illustration of her shop to accommodate the contact page.

"It's been over four years working with Tom and the Florist Touch team and we couldn't be happier. They understand that each florist is unique and they adapt their service around this fact. They provide all the training and we need and are so quick about it! Thank you.
